Prof. Susan Hansen will retire in 2012 after 32 years of distinguished service to the University of Pittsburgh.  The Department of Political Science has established a fund in her honor, to celebrate her career and her pathbreaking contributions to the study of women in politics.  Please consider making a contribution to the Susan Hansen fund.  We seek to raise $5,000 in an effort to establish a more permanent endowment that will support research activities consistent with Prof. Hansen's pioneering career.

Jonathan Woon, Assistant Professor of Political Science, won an Honorable Mention award for the best paper presented at the 2010 APSA Meetings for the organized section on Experimental Research for his paper "Democratic Accountability and Retrospective Voting in the Lab."
