Dr. West is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh and received her PhD from the Department of Politics at New York University in 2017. She studies the democratic implications of identity, with an emphasis on understanding the psychological mechanisms driving both voter and elite behavior.
