Christen Blades is a Ph.D. student and her research seeks to answer three questions: (1) what is identity and how do individuals define themselves within society through race, ideology, and religion; (2) how does one’s identity allow them to interact in the political space through race, ideology, and religion; (3) who or what is more responsible for the formation and expression of nationalism and individuality concerning political ideologies and social movements in times of war and peace?
