Huseyin Ilgaz

Huseyin is a graduate candidate (ABD) of Political Science at the University of Pittsburgh and expecting to graduate in Spring 2019.

He specializes in international relations, comparative politics, and political methodology with research focuses on peace, conflict resolution, civil wars, external interventions, conflict termination, temporal interdependence, bargaining theory, and democratization.

His dissertation is on the role of external interventions in ending internal wars. The chapter on interdependence in the dissertation was awarded the best paper at the 2017 PPSA Conference.

He has taught courses on International Relations, Comparative Politics, Civil Wars, and Peacemaking & Peacekeeping at the University of Pittsburgh. He was nominated for the 2018 Elizabeth Baranger Excellence in Teaching Award.
